{Scarlett's Room} before and after

More snow in KY (in March - don't get me started) means more time to clean and take pics and post.

Next up is Scarlett's room.  When we moved in over a year ago she was still in a crib!  Seems like forever ago.  But that didn't last long because I found a bedroom set that I liked and sold her crib out from under her.  Bad mom?  Yes.  But I can't resist a good find.

Here is her room when we bought the house:

And here it is now:

Just the other day she was hanging on one of those posts and broke it off...

I bought all of her bedding and curtains from Ebay - it was new from Pottery Barn.

Lilli picked out this bear when Scarlett was born
Ballerina stuff is leftover from her 3rd birthday party

Those booties were hand knitted by one of my special needs students!  And that was the tutu she wore in the next picture!

The gown belonged to my dad and his brothers.  The pumpkin was how I told Jason I was pregnant.  The hat was hers in the hospital and the vase is from her hospital stay, filled with flowers from our wedding.

Auntie got her this for Christmas

Would you believe me that I bought the entire bedroom suit (including 4 post bed) for 150 bucks!?  I did.  It was in horrible shape, but Nana painted it with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint "Paris Grey" and spray painted the knobs.  I love it!

I added this shelf liner to the insides of the drawers. One - they were old and water stained.  Two - its cute and fun.  I ordered it from Amazon, they have tons of cute patterns.

Here is the "before" - it was cream and had some water damage.

I bought those prints off of Etsy and they were in her nursery.  I still love them!  I painted the frames blue with leftover paint from Lilli's old room.

Jason's baby blanket and Scarlett's fancy blanket

This horse was handmade and given to us from a friend of Auntie Ashley's.  It is so beautiful in person!

I plan to make an S to go in this wreath that I made for her birthday party.

Nana painted her a stool just like she did for Lilli's room.

Well there it is!  Unlike Lilli, Scarlett's keeps her bedroom a MESS.  Food on the floor, stuffed animals everywhere, makeup in her sheets.  It pains me to go in there.  She is just "one of those kids" who loves to make messes.  So I am thankful for these pics that help me remember what it CAN look like.  I just try to keep the important things up high so she can't break them!
